Final DIP meeting for this semester, 5/12 (Free pizza!)

NOTE: This event was originally scheduled for 5/5, but it has been rescheduled for 5/12 due to Cinco de Mayo.

This semester is quickly coming to a close, with finals in just over two weeks! As a final wrap up for this semester, DIP is holding an event next week, 5/12, for design students to meet and share some of the work they have created over the course of the past year. I’m sure there is a lot of high quality work that a lot of people will never see, so this will be a great opportunity to view and critique work and get inspired. Feel free to bring anything you’ve worked on, even if it isn’t 100% complete, that’s been done in class, as a freelance project, for an internship, etc.

Join us at 7 PM on May 5th in Tehama 226. DIP will provide free pizza from Woodstocks (and lots of napkins!) Any other snacks you want to share (drinks/chips/etc.) would be appreciated. If you intend to bring something, please email designersinprogress [at] gmail.com and let me know?

This is intended to be an informal event, so there is no need to matte any of your work — regular printouts would be fine . Also, I’ll have my laptop available in case there are digital items that you want to share that can’t be easily printed.

In addition, we’ll be talking about DIP for Fall 2012, and checking to see if anyone is interested in becoming DIP officers next semester. I’ve had one or two people ask me about that, so if you’re interested in being an officer, please come and talk to me. I’m definitely going to stay involved with DIP in some way, but due to being busy with an IMC internship next semester I’m not sure if I want to continue being president.
